I agree with you. There are some games I enjoy so much that I can ignore all the nonsense like special dice, cards and all that. But when a flood of colorful tokens ends up making the table look like you just celebrated a child's birthday party with confetti cannons, it simply breaks the immersion.

Do you know Conquistadors of Mictlan? I'm not entirely sure, but I think there was a picture of a dwarf and a halfling in the style of Spanish conquistadors.

Okay, the idea was killed bei my fellow players, but immedatly reborn as dux italiae. We will give the conquest of south italy by the normans a try. Okay, the 11th century is far away from the original dux, but we will see.

I found a set of color-sorted role-playing dice online, all of which came in small bags. I just had to sort out the 20 and 10% dice, and now I can supply seven commanders with dice. Since you rarely have more than three per side, that's enough to supply my fellow players as well.

I've painted the Blue Brigade at Breitenfeld last year, but we decided, that for bases of musketeers would Look much better. It is also easier to form an old fashion tercio.
In a nutshell, I need to paint two bases more for euch of the two regiments of the Brigade.

I've given a try to WW2 a few Times, but it is not my match. No silly hats, no long rifles, no great flags, no Formations or hornblowers. And everythink hat a greenish tone of grey or something lile that. I'm in love with the Time of horse and musket.

Ich hab so eine Armee leider herumliegen und müsste sie " nur" bemalen. Inzwischen schreckt mich Metall aber allzu oft vom bemalen ab, was verrückt ist, weil ich ja auch viele historische Themen sammle, die gar nicht in Kunststoff möglich wären.
