I know I might be shooting somebody in the response rates, but… Fun fact: many Census Bureau surveys are not mandatory. Fun fact #2: if you respond online and get a "please answer this"-type message, try hitting Next again. Oftentimes you can bypass stuff you don't want to answer.

My bad, I took your first comment to mean "we don't need those statistics anyway" rather than "we have to make do with what we have." I agree that we have to use existing data if it's all we've got, yeah.

Having existing data from before this administration started screwing things up doesn't tell us the ongoing impact of these kinds of decisions and makes it harder for aid groups etc. to know where to focus geographically to help the most people. The feds are blacking out that info, and that's bad.

iirc npr had an article where they mentioned a federal survey collecting data on prison sexual abuse removed questions about gender identity, so we might not even know how bad this gets.

They might pull one of those "move to our new location in bumfuck nowhere or we'll accept your resignation" moves. They dgaf if they're left with a husk that can't operate.

You can mute an account, but you have to click through to their profile to do it. I wish we could access that from posts tbh.

The shades make it kinda Eggman though. I haven't had the heart to say so until now, lol.

Found another one:

"And that means we hire 625,000 people"

63% of households self-responded online or by phone. NRFU peaked at 288,000 workers.

Dude's full of shit, lol. Which isn't surprising, given that overworking USPS is also a stupid idea.
