In fact, the point at which a society has imperial ambitions is the same point where madness has become a dominant part of the culture. A society cannot sustain itself by infinitely exploiting limited resources through domination. It has left the realm of logic. The writing is on the wall. (27/?)

This process is organic. Not a product of back room schemes, but a predetermined outcome of a hierarchical society that creates the conditions for personality disorders to flourish. It is mental illness. Like an alcoholic will go to a bar, so too will hierarchical societies go to sadism. (26/?)

The rise of the modern nation state necessitated the rise of the modern prison system, in the same way the arrival of blood born cancer leads to tumors throughout a body. Built off of sadism, these states sought to formalize and economize torture into their way of life. (25/?)

So, empires rise concomitantly with sadism. And these reinforce each other. As a society grows more sadistic, this leads to an urge to dominate. As that domination is expressed and sadism is acted out, the collective trauma leads to more sadistic personality disorders. (24/?)

Colonies are a form of domination and imprisonment at the benefit of the dominator. The same goes for "treaty ports", vassalages, "territories", etc. These all involve extraction while making the land an open air prison for the native populations. (23/?)

At this point, it's important to note (before I potentially hit a thread max) that the rise of personality disorders go hand in hand with the rise of empires. In fact, the behavior of empires is basically the behavior of a Sadist, Narcissist, or Machiavellianist, at a state level. (22/?)

This imperial boomerang is placing a lot of extra work on the jodys. They've been working overtime to take care of each and every camo hog's wife. They even step in to assist the fiancés and girlfriends.

As barbaric as they were, these public displays were suboptimal from a sadistic perspective. The sadist wants to maximize human suffering. From a humanist perspective, a public execution is barbaric and ghastly. From a sadistic perspective, that's a waste of a few good years of torture (21/?)

These public displays included lynchings, burnings, drawing and quartering, stoning, ritual death against opponents, drowning, and more. Typically, these were festivals. This goes for the Roman Coliseum and the picnic during the hanging of Emmit Till. They celebrated death and suffering (20/?)

In the past (and prior to nation-states), in-groups could only hold prisoners temporarily. They lacked a large bureaucracy that could sustain long-term sadist camps. To offset this impotence, the in-group would sate the sadistic base's bloodlust with public spectacles of torture and death. (19/?)

It's important to note that the purpose of prisons, from this perspective, is to maximize torture and suffering for a sadistic base. In the past, this culminated in public humilation and death. But, the endstate has evolved over time, based on bureaucratic capacity. (18/?)

How have in-groups typically met this sadistic desire? Through the carceral state (i.e.
, prisons). Prisons are naturally fit for this purpose: they ostensibly represent "justice", they provide an easy place for ritual torture and sadism, and caging victims make them easier to control. (17/?)

Of course, as already discussed, the politics of sadism reinforce hierarchy and power. The powerful in-group happily meets the sadistic base's demands for pain and suffering. But these demands typically take up an increasingly immense amount of resources, which contributes to collapse. (16/?)

So, ritual sacrifice and torment occupy a growing share of political. Since sadism is a disorder akin to alcoholism, this growing base demands to see pain and torture meted out. And this desire grows over time, like an addiction. The torture needs to be amplified. (15/?)

First point: political transformation. Growing sadism directly impacts politics. As more people yearn for torment, more politicians benefit from offering pain. Those politicians who do not offer pain will begin to hear demands for suffering from their increasingly mentally ill base. (14/?)

Picking up where I left off: as more people develop these disorders, more people start presenting with all three conditions. As more people suffer under (specifically) sadism, society begins its descent into madness. Ultimately, this ends in countless deaths and collapse. Some points on why. (13/?)

At this point it's so blatantly obvious. It's like watching an offensive lineman sack their own quarterback on four consecutive downs. Schumer and co are 100% in on it

Until a significantly large segment of the population has a multiple personality disorder like sadism, narcissism, or Machiavellianism. When this group climbs to at least a quarter of the population, cruelty really is the point . (12/?)

This socialization into sadism, of course, reinforces the system. Raised into a sadistic society, children's ability to emphasize gets blunted. They become blunted parents, who inflict trauma on their own children. And so on and so forth until ... (11/?)
