Alt text is not for character lore, art crediting, extra information/details! Please keep alt text for its intended purpose, describing an image, as it’s an important accessibility tool!

Some folks are suggesting that the alt text field can be used to get around the 300 character limit on Bluesky, as alt text here has a much higher character limit. This is terrible advice, and if you do this, know you'll confuse and annoy a lot of screen reader users. That's not a good thing to do.
