🧠 What makes a memory stick? Not all neurons join a memory engram—only a select few. Our new study shows that the AMPA receptor subunit GluA1 keeps this process sparse and efficient. Without it, too many neurons activate, but memory gets worse!

Sooo excited that my postdoc work with @sjo09.bsky.social is finally out! We explored the mechanisms behind stress-induced memory generalization, engram architecture, and the central role for endocannabinoids!
