28, gotta work on an online persona and get comfortable posting/reposting. Into One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Ace Attorney, DND, OSRS, some others.
You see the 16 Cids they're printing? Hilarious.

Okay make that 6 and a half and I'm a big fan of the last one. Name is either going to be Bear Trap or Trapped Bear. Bear-shaped bear trap or a bear that appears to have weaponized bear traps since it's covered in them pointing outwards.

All open-ended musing to myself to get my head in order for this. Fire chaos and beast probably play well together. Maybe just changing the machine to a homunculus of some kind would make it work... Might be what I go for.

This would leave order, air, and beast which I'm drawing a blank on. I can think of spells that use these, but not a user. I did also kind of want mundane to end up with order. Maybe with air and order I could do a genie thing but beast is left hanging there... Swap mundane and beast maybe?

That being "Anarcho-tron Mk1." A life form built by wizard 1 to oppose authority in all forms. The mistake being that he didn't make sure it followed HIS orders. This one would have the fire, chaos, and mundane elements. I picture a blocky robot holding a molotov and wearing a mask.

After that I don't have anything I'm particularly attached to. The remaining elements are air, fire, order, chaos, beast, and mundane. Air is a problem one because nothing springs to mind really. I can narrow it down to 3 with a combo I'm so-so on but had more in mind as an expansion wizard:

Fourth and last one that I'm certain of is not as light. I picture a victorian dandy that dabbles in diabolism. Some Dr Who in there, but also some Lovecraft as well. Elements of choice are time, space, and demons. Always ready to mess with powers beyond reckoning, that one.

Third up draws from yet another well. With light, soul, and mystika elements she smites justice with the power of friendship and laser beams. It's a magical girl type who I need to flesh out the personality of a bit. I'm not too familiar with the genre but seemed a shoe-in for this game.

Second I've decided on is a witch that lives in a swamp. More of a neutral party that uses earth, water, and fae spells. Within her stilted shack she studies her elements alone and has become very efficient with her research. Sometimes benevolent, others has a great fury.

First I've already posted, the moustache twirling villain. Dark, Illusion, and contraption spells as a refresher. He delights in shredding an opponent's spells and loves using dirty tricks to get ahead. He'll take on heroes or even villains to prove his superiority.

Don't mind the massive borders on these, I used a printing service's template in case I want to take them to print in this state, and it wants that much dead zone. Alright, dev log over for now. Let me know if you have an idea for a wizard or the final element I need.

Also made a sillier probably-bad card because it came to mind. This is around where the dev blog ends for now, with my mspaint placeholder art. The idea here is that if it happens to be in the final row/column of your defense you can instantly equalize things but otherwise good luck casting it.

Alright here's the actual first spell, bespoke for Mr Villainsey there. Contraptions are meant to feature some underhanded tactics and fire will use ignite as a primary keyword, literally burning up spells. Important for this wizard is that it shreds itself but you own it. Synergy!

So you turn pages in your spellbook to add them to your chapter, you remove them for study and use that study to be able to cast other spells with the intent of beating the opponent. If you're hit you get a free clap back and a bit of study material, but that dwindles through the game.
