This makes me angry. I gotta weigh in as a psychiatrist.
Those long pauses between words, w/ breakdown of syntax, are indicative of emotional overload. The jargon term is "blocking." You can be any age, in any condition of health, & show blocking when talking about something emotionally painful.

Alex Thompson wrote this *today* about Biden having trouble speaking about Beau, and framed it as “wow look at what they were hiding from us” instead of a grieving father and it was clearly so offensive that *someone else* stuck a “reality check” in at the bottom of this. Truly a vile person
