We have not had free and fair elections in this country.

We didn’t abolish the poll tax until 1966. Every year after the passage of the Voting Rights Act involved Certain States trying to thread the racism needle in their election rules to get preclearance, and they had reasonable success at that.

We are going to hold elections in this country.

We will just be doing everything on hard mode: the registering, the voting, the winning, the getting the winning certified, the transfer of power.

I think it is important to delineate between “not having elections” and “understanding how they’re going to try to steal the election” because if we understand the tactics we can do something about it.
