That said, one can purchase Tabletop Simulator and use workshop content to play anything without restriction. Or even find groups that are DIY friendly. It’s a game, not an investment.

That is fair. As far as I’ve noticed, the entry cost for TCGs right now is Yugioh < Pokemon < Magic in terms of the big three. But again, that’s all relative to *how* you play the game. You can build semi-competitive decks from like the third or fourth set of each for nearly the same price.

That really just depends on the format. People currently are obsessed with bug expensive formats. However, I have some PAUPER tournaments in my area and those decks run around $5 each. They only allow commons which are typically less than a quarter in value.

Not to mention tournament rules is, what, last three sets? Halfway through the year your deck isn’t even going to be legal. Like what’s the point in building a deck at that rate?

I love getting bulk boxes of cards, it doesn’t matter what brand either. I could receive boxes of assorted playing cards and be happy. That’s an awesome bulk box you got there!

Then there’s that one kobold who drinks one before going to sleep, swearing it helps them sleep. The rest can’t comprehend this neurodivergence.
