Ok, so a real #MTG question about the proposed changes to color identity: If someone is playing Rhys the Redeemed (since this is the card WOTC was most excited for) in a mono-white deck, can I still Deathgrip Rhys? Wouldn’t its color identity be *just* white in mono-white, since hybrid is an “or”?

Built a Dr. Eggman #mtg deck this last weekend, used various robots out of my bulk boxes. I then proceeded to realize I don’t have any Dr Who or Fallout cards, which were loaded with good options for it. So optimizations will be made, but I’m still excited to try what I’ve built.

Creatures you control but don't own are Mercenaries in addition to their other types.

At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top X cards of target opponent's library, where X is the number of outlaws you control. Until end of turn, you may cast spells from among those cards, and mana of any type can be spent to cast those spells.

Reflecting on my first games with Codie, Vociferous Codex from #FNM and that line “you can’t cast permanent spells” was a lot less menacing than I expected! The deck didn’t contain a single permanent spell and I held up decently well despite that.

Stumbled across this combo for #Oathbreaker and I’m honestly surprised at to how strong some Signature Spells can be for each Planeswalker. I have so many ideas on things to do with this format and not nearly enough time to make them happen.

I have been browsing over some #mtg #commander cards I want to run and I have decided my “no fun” deck will be Zur the Enchanter. Totally not for the fact I get to play Post Malone as a commander while ruining everyone’s night.
