There was this one fic I read where the protag gave up a Magical Transition and in exchange transitioned the Regular Way for world saving reasons, and there was a massive discord fight about the ethics of taking away the original transition as if it wasnt bog standard plot stakes

or as a similar group in relation to eggfics, demand that Nothing Bad Ever Happens to the egg/trans person.
