Here is the real-life bumper sticker I found in the dirt behind my unit that kind of inspired the story!

I know that I it is likely I'll have a depressive episode again. I'll probably have to switch medications again. But in writing I can explore those feelings and make sense of life when my brain doesn't make sense.

Writing is one of the only ways I can make sense of having major depressive disorder and suicidal ideation. It's dark, sure, but I find that writing about gives me some power over the condition and reminds me how far I've come in treatment.

Ooh I like that idea!

Giving myself one day before I dive into my novel revision and work on some short stories. Not sure if I will make it our of bed today, if I'm honest.
