Weak leaders can pick on each other, sure. But relative to their own people they are still weak

. . . and if the Republicans think they're going to score political points by bringing suffering to immigrants and refugees they've got a lot to learn about the American people. We don't stand idly by when we see suffering. We look out for each other. We love our neighbors as ourselves.

...As everyone who studies public health knows, we all benefit from a more healthy population. As Americans, we know that paperwork shouldn't be a paywall to the fundamental human right to life.

So thanks for bringing that up. We insist that everyone who needs it will get access to Medicaid.

Next time a reporter asks a Democrat about undocumented immigrants getting health care I'd love to hear them say this:

You know what, that's a really good point. We should make sure that everyone in this country, no matter their asylum or visa status, has access to our health care system.

When you follow the money, you see this has nothing to do about “law and order” or safety or anything else. It’s all about money.
