He was just great. He made some amazing music, some forgettable music, and never stopped. He did a few shitty things, didn't pretend he hadn't, and did a ton of good. That face didn't hurt. I can even forgive him for the shitty goatee from his 50th birthday concert.

I wish I could say you were wrong, but your point about drawing troops from Eastern alliances is the most telling, to me. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I don't see the degree of "aging Russian war machine grinding itself into oblivion" that we seem to be assured is happening.

Training myself NOT to click on NYT links has been difficult, but overall worth it. The AP, the Guardian, and Al Jazeera have filled in most of the gaps.

I agree, Senator, but that has to include imposing Section 3 disqualification on Donald Trump. So far, no Democrats have shown a stomach for that fight. Will you be the first?
