A systems Architect navigating the 'Fueling Paradox.' I build the 'Scaffolding' that allows non-linear brilliance to survive 21st-century stress. More about the 'Internal Warfare' of the ADHD brain's interaction with the FMS body: aelarsson.substack.com
I’ve realised that for the ADHD/FMS brain, a compliment isn’t always a gift. Often, it’s a high-voltage spike that triggers Autonomic Whiplash.

When someone I respect validates my work, my brain immediately issues a Performance Contract I didn't sign.

In the ADHD/FMS brain, we cannot separate the food from the fog. Did the strawberries cause the crash, or did the crash make the strawberries toxic?

The world sees a sink full of dishes; the FMS/ADHD body sees a battlefield. We tell ourselves it's just 'a few bits,' but the Static Posture Tax is brutal. Our shoulders migrate, our backs brace, and our brains burn fuel just to keep us standing still.

1/2 Why debating human brain superiority vs AI vs if AI will take our humanity doesn't matter. It's backwards thinking on the same level as the 1970's-80's talk about the calculator making us loose the ability to think.

1/3 At HRV crash levels, we must protect momentum at all costs. But for the ADHD/FMS brain, resting is rarely "free."

We pay a "Linear Tax" on everything—even watching a recorded show. If the network changes an icon or an episode number, they burn our map. #ADHD #Fibromyalgia #EnergyDebt

My ADHD brain isn’t “distracted”—it’s a 4K cinematic engine running a multi-threaded simulation at 1,000 mph.

I call it Internal Warfare. It’s high-performance architecture running on a low-voltage grid.

Here is how it actually feels physically: 🧵

Stubbornness is the currency of the exhausted ADHD/FMS brain, but the exchange rate is ruinous. Every ounce of 'willpower' spent when empty is paid back in pain.
The Tinnitus is the sirens of a system failing; the 'Hot Water Headache' is the crash. I call it the Tinnitus of pain. (1/2)

@forrestvalkai.bsky.social Do you think human society has evolved faster than our biology can adapt? Considering the rise in chronic stress conditions, it feels like we’re trying to run 21st-century society on ancient Hunter-Gatherer hardware. Is the modern 'burnout' just an evolutionary mismatch?
