This morning, ICE rolled into a Home Depot parking lot using a moving truck loaded w/agents, like a Trojan horse, to snatch up Latino workers. Whoever they could find. No idea if they were undocumented or not.

I fled the US to Albania. While studying their history of communism, I didn't expect to see so many similarities. Despite not knowing anyone (or even the language) I feel much safer... even though it breaks my heart that many of my loved ones won't accept it until it's too late.

Rest in Power Jewel Thais Williams who was an LGBTQIA activist, businesswoman, owner of the longest running Black-owned discotheque in the nation, and a holistic medical practitioner, and subject of the C Fitz-directed film “Jewel’s Catch One.” Her love and light will truly be missed.
