In NH there's a contest where kids draw the I Voted stickers for the next couple years. These are the next batch!

My fav is also anklosaurus,simce I was a kid. I think because I'm small and they're small as dinosaurs go, and TOUGH. I have this guy, named Hank the Tank, guarding our house

Bun munching on greenery. (had take out dinner in the city hall park in Wellesley on Tues). There were also a grey squirrel, a tiny chipmunk, two mallard ducks, and some kind of sandpiper.

Some strange looking mushrooms from a couple weeks back.
Weird bright yellow fungus, it reaches out of the ground like fingers, and is red on the tips :o a variety of other small green plants and moss growing around it on the ground.

Took all my boys camping and mountain biking for the long weekend! Was absolutely glorious to have three whole days with no obligations. (and mostly no internet)
Four folding lawn chairs and a small tent near a metal fire pit at a campsite. A quiet creek below and the late afternoon sun coming through the hemlocks.

I got random succulents to go in the garden around the garage (it had the rocks and widely spaced azealas when we moved in), but I had no idea they would have these cool flowers!
Bright green succulent plant in grey chunky gravel. It has vivid pink spiky flowers in clusters on long stems. Dark green succulent plant in grey chunky gravel. Looks like tiny pine trees. It has a riot of bright yellow flowers with five skinny points, on robust stems taller than the green parts of the plant. Pale green succulent in grey chunky gravel. It has very geometric five-point white and pink flowers. These are my favourite of the three! This plant didn't seem to like the soil it came in, it immediately spread out and sent long runners around into the gravel.

Happy Canada Day, folks. My home country certainly has its dark spots, too, but it's hard not to feel homesick when the US is dramatically destroying itself. (Writing the alt-text for these guys was fun)

Also, SALAMANDERS! 😍😍 There were some kids there who arrived and said 'I want to see animals!', so I said, there are a bunch of salamanders over here. And they delightedly spent the next half hour wading and looking and finding and enthusing about salamanders. Hooray!

Salamander with an elegant tail as long as the rest of its body, floating in shallow sunny water over a beige rock in a lake. It was a perfect day in New England. My two best hiking friends are recovering their health/fitness so we did a cheat hike where we took the tram up Cannon Mt and then hiked 3ish miles down by Lonesome Lake (0.4 of steep rock scramble nonsense on Kinsman Ridge!)
