Doing a first short outside sunning of greenhouse house plants.
If you have the opportunity always start extras, friends and neighbors might need them.

Government workers who get promotions are in probationary periods for a year or more regardless of how experienced. Every new job title you take comes with a probationary time for training into that new title.

Every news morning is like watching those old Baptist scare movies from the 70s, a mix of Revelations and Nostradamas.

We're just above snow average for this time of year, and we've had fairly steady cold weather. I'm really happy for a far more normal winter, as a gardener I'm hoping this is a good reset for native plants, and a good knock back for some of the invasive bugs, fungal issues etc.

Looking for a replacement for Marketplace to list/purchase items locally for sale. I've tried Letgo but didn't seem like there were many people on it.

It looks like the economy is going to take a deep dive, but there could be ways that we could reshape it. In the NE we have real pockets of small economy success, farm to table, farmers market, arts etc... if we really rethink what we buy and why we could reduce the plastic junky fast economy

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.

More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.

Now.

Seed saving, it's pretty easy, get the seeds as clean as you can without destroying the protective slime layer. Let dry on wax paper then put in paper envelopes (old junk mail return envelopes work great) put in fridge until spring planting season.
