Recent actions across government show an alarming pattern of silencing dissenting voices. We must speak out.

That’s why I’m launching a 1st Amendment Tour to Challenge Government Censorship and Control.

‘Humiliating and scary’: German backpackers detained and deported after arriving in Hawaii from New Zealand.

Why would anyone travel to the US knowing this could happen? This enrages me. Hawaii depends on tourism. Trump will destroy the economy of my home state.

The SCOTUS order is like 4 pages, total. The opinion of the court is *3 paragraphs.* This isn’t something you just miss or overlook.

It’s a brazen, completely inexcusable misrepresentation of the Supreme Court’s order.
SCOTUS on 4/10: “The order properly requires the Government to ‘facilitate’ Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador…”

DOJ on 4/21: Objects “based on the false premise that the United States can or has been ordered to facilitate Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador.”
The government refuses to answer an interrogatory that asks it to describe steps taken to facilitate Abrego Garcia's release.

The government objects “based on the false premise that the United States can or has been ordered to facilitate Abrego Garcia's release from custody in El Salvador…”

Once again. These are human traffickings, not fucking DEPORTATIONS! Deportation means you're sent back to where you came from. After a hearing/due process. You're not sent to a foreign prison forever with no hearing whatsoever.

The opinion by Judge Wilkinson for the Fourth Circuit denying the government’s most recent request for a stay or mandamus against Judge Xinis’s rulings in the Abrego García case is especially powerful when you consider it was written by … Judge Wilkinson:

Signal Gate, the failed tariffs and trade, Kilmar Garcia and the attack on Harvard...all tipping points within the past two weeks.

The result of people asking questions, asking follow ups, not bending the knee, not being quiet.

The Trump regime is buckling and lashing out.

The founders had this thing they really cared about:

“No person shall be… deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

And we are now seeing why they really cared about it.

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

It’s hard to say what’s worse—Trump enjoying leaving García rotting in an El Salvadoran prison or that he now wants to do the same to US citizens.

@schumer.senate.gov , this constitutional crisis demands a full-throated, united Democratic front—not a carefully worded press release.

In a way the tone is almost as frightening as the substance. The dissent writes like it understands the stakes, and what kind of regime we're on the precipice of becoming. The majority writes like it's hearing a case about whether rollerblades can be taxed as vehicles.
#BREAKING: 5-4 Court, with Barrett joining the three Dem. appointees in dissent *vacates* Chief Judge Boasberg’s temporary restraining orders in the Alien Enemy Act cases. Judicial review must be available, Court holds, but has to come through habeas petitions:

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.

This is our moment. This is our time.

We must stand up. We must speak out. We must do everything we can to stop a President who has every intention of destroying our democracy.
