I am an avid simple living, outdoors, pagan woman who would rather be in a canoe on a river, ice fishing on a secluded lake, or hunkered down in front of my fireplace hearth cooking, than almost anywhere else in the world.
Mullien leaves are a good healer against the irritant gasses sprayed on protesters. To sooth eyes and mucus membranes, pour boiling water over the leaves, a put you face into the gentle steam to reduce redness and swelling. Ancient healing in modern troubled times.

Mullien flowers in oil is a cure for an ear ache. I also will put mullien flowers and garlic slices into apple cider vinegar to help with ear infection from viral, bacteria, and yeast. Ridgeline healing at its best.

Tonight I heard my first screech owl of the season while canning green beans in the summer kitchen. A good swamp witch knows that the larder best be halfway full when the first screech owl calls. Lucky for me it is. A reminder winter will be here before we know it.

Fed up the beasts well and spent the weekend in town. I gave a class on cheese making, and took a class on wilderness first aid. Got home late last night to the trees calling. Spring is whispering from the roots. Sap is rising. Shivers... #witchsky #pagansky #cunningfolk #livingseasonally
