Lurker. Inventing, mostly.
In two weeks, you, a professional, have not gotten more than 10 hits here on your non-cat posts.
Your cats are awesome, and I love them. Your opinion about the trans issue is not great, and I hate it. Be a better person.

The Adventures of Luther Arkwright gets it for me.
That, and much of Alan Moore's work, but especially League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Providence.

Certainly. That is called “being a conscientious consumer in 2025”…

For me, it feels kind of personal too… like probably they’d auditioned for him. QT is a tackyholic, and his bff clout w/Weinstein is out of gasoline.

Can’t help but repeat the line I saw earlier that this interview happening on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor is so monumentally on-the-nose.

He rules. Full disclosure tho, I met him at a soiree once and he was so goddamn nice. He was also a perfectly apt foil for RoPat’s B-man.

That was Blaine, and it is a formative memory.

Garbage movies with bad writing that despite their eco-trappings have a carbon footprint that can be accurately described as a polar bear graveyard.

I realized earlier today talking about this with colleagues that this may be the darkness that finally tips me over. Like… if there’s no tribunal, if there are no consequences, nothing means anything.

…and I thought I’d already hit that darkness. I’m scared about what’s next.

It’s so rad to get your involved silent film expertise alongside modest culinary snaps and modest watercolor delights. Dare I say, I love this account!

His movies are good too! The Russia House is great

RDR2 has my vote. It does require patience, and some things in it are gallingly impossible (eg, some collection missions, some gold medalling, sluglike looting) but hoo boy, it’s got such a vibe of immensity about it. When it clicks, which is often, it’s the best.

How does he look exactly like all the Nazis?

Awesome movie
November 28, 2025 at 12:47 AM
Awesome. Yes. I’m certain fears about such things are learned ideologies — humans are not innately hegemonic, despite what the right wing commentariat implore. Their’s is a desperate scramble to preserve an irrelevant illusion, fingernails tearing at the decaying boards of their moldy scaffolds.

On the plus side, it gives us something to righteously vandalize and tear down…
