We need to keep getting this message out

I am holding space for the traumatic alerts we get on our phones that quickly get buried in our feeds. The people sleeping on the streets while ghoulish pundits dehumanize them in the worst ways. The families shattered by deportations, while our cities lose sanctuary.

We are not a serious nation. If we were, we’d have sensible gun laws in place like every other civilized nation. We’d have healthcare for all…like every other civilized nation. We are second-class at best, serving the greediest among us.
