I know that as I had arranged a similar thing earlier this year when I was dating someone and she was single, she was busy that date and said that even if she wasn’t busy she’d be too uncomfortable being surrounded by couples.

But would it have been the other way around she would have said she couldn’t come because she’s too anxious about being the only single person there. The difference between us is I want to show up and support her. She wouldn’t have done the same for me.

Update: I went to both things planned and I actually had fun. But paying for it today as I’m very hungover 🤣

But apparently the whole plans have changed now and I’m not sure I want to go anymore… I only planned on taking part in half of the planned things anyway…
