I've been out canvassing quite a lot in London lately. Labour's vote has absolutely evaporated.... it is quite extraordinary to go to places where Labour were on 50-60% of the vote at the last locals and find nobody, or virtually nobody, supporting them.

When you leave the civil service, you hand back your pass and are usually escorted out of the building even if you've 30+ years of working there behind you. I suspect it's the same in many large companies. Don't see why it should be different for MPs.
