Exercising too hard is dangerous if you have Long Covid or myalgic enzephalomyelitis.

Learning how to do Pacing is crucial!!!

Some much-needed information about myalgic encephalomyelitis – only 10% get the correct diagnosis, and most of them only after several years, many misdiagnosis and wrong treatments.

A historic step for ME/CFS and Long COVID research – scientific integrity must take precedence. 🧠

Science owes progress to patients – not the repetition of past mistakes.

Ein historischer Schritt für die Forschung zu ME/CFS und Long COVID – wissenschaftliche Integrität muss oberstes Gebot bleiben. 🧠

The John Snow project formulated a new disease paradigm: in Covid-19 there’s an acute and a chronic phase, and both phases can be symptomatic or asymptomatic.

Basically, there is no SARS-CoV-2 infection which does not damage your body.

Es geschehen noch Zeichen und Wunder… An der DGN findet eine Podiumsdiskussion über ME statt, an der Prof. Scheibenbogen (Immunologin, führende Expertin in ME), Prof. Schomerus (Psychiater, kritisiert Psychiatrisierung von ME) und der Neuroimmunologe Prof. Geis teilnehmen.

I’m reading „50 Fragen, die das Leben leichter machen“ (Karin Kuschik), about questions which make life easier.

My favorite: “Can we agree on…“. And if they agree, add: “OK, I take that verbatim.”

Thank me later 🤓

Swiss health spending is almost entirely explained by spending history, not by burden

📊 Let’s allocate health spending according to burden - which means that diagnosis, treatment and prevention of post-acute infection syndromes must become a top priority!

🧠 Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) and Postacute infection syndromes (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Long Covid) both affect a similar proportion of the population—yet receive vastly different attention in neurology.
