We Are Not From Here by Jenny Torres Sanchez
is a novel that broke my heart over and over again. This book doesn't gloss over any of the harsh realities of those fleeing violence and poverty in search of opportunity and safety.

The Devil's Highway by Luis Alberto Urrea is one of the most difficult books I've read because it challenged my opinions and shows the humanity of those seeking refuge in the United States.

I’m a lifelong Pistons fan (true Michigander here). But I’ll always have a special place in my heart for the Lakers (Magic Johnson and I are from the same city).

Top players of all time:
Isiah Thomas
Magic
Shaq (he’s just so darn loveable)
Steph
Grant Hill
