The number of complaints I’ve gotten since I posted 16 of my series books (out of 26) online dwarfs the thank you notes to a massive extent. Maybe some people think we whip out a book after a few hours work. But even then, do they ask a mechanic to tune their car for free? It’s baffling!

Just FYI, I asked for the customer retention department at Optimum re: TCM and wound up getting it for free, along with SHO for 1 year. They told me to call back in a year and they’d do it again.

I started listening to Juliet Stevenson’s narration, and that spurred me on to listening a couple of hours a day. I finished last week, but I’m still enjoying reading the comments. I hope we do another!

I worked for a trust company in the 70s and was constantly amazed at how many wealthy men trusted strangers to continue to treat their wives as frivolous children until death. We had sole discretion over how much money widows received on a monthly basis, and they had to beg for extra. Gruesome!

Good question and thoughtful answer. I’ve been struggling as well. A friend suggested I listen to the audiobook narrated by Juliet Stevenson. Her performance has really brought life to the book for me. YMMV!

The Diocese of NY does morning prayer on Zoom at 8 am on weekdays. It’s a nice jumping-off point to tinker with in creating something that works for you. You have to register, but it’s open tl all!
