This destruction means little when compared with the damage this administration has wrought, but it’s the lightning-quick ability to destroy an iconic representation of the country and its stability that sickens me. We had to cut aid to special needs kids, but we’re flush with cash for this 💩.
i haven't commented on it so far but the destruction of the east wing makes me feel *insane*.

Like, we're just...letting him do that.

2/2 Some executive VP authorized the spend to integrate it into their system, and they will seem like suckers if it doesn’t work. Do you think those folks want to hear honest feedback about how shitty it is? Of course not. They’ll keep it until no one’s using it, then it will die a quiet death.

Yes, yes, and more yes. The massive company my wife works for is doing everything they can to make their tens of thousands of employees use AI to write emails they have to completely rewrite to not sound like dopes. An email isn’t that hard when you compare it to her actual work. 1/2
This whole section really.

Not much of a code! Listen to the problems young voters have, and clearly state your plan to address them. Pandering doesn’t work! (Note to our democratic senators😝)
🤯 What every campaign in times immemorial insists they're going to pull off, and pretty much never do. A code cracked.

I wish this wasn’t true, but it is! Add in the lives upended/destroyed, and this summary is spot-on.
the american electoral system is basically 500,000 information-resistant people across a handful of states taking a guess and then going "haha! oops!" every two years. this process takes 18 months and costs four trillion dollars every time

This was my second time reading MD, and this time was much more enjoyable. My age helped, I think, but sharing the experience with you all was the key. Thanks to the organizers and contributors. I'd happily go on another ride with you all. 🐋

Americans are generally horrible at understanding the size of marginalized communities.

Most Americans think almost 1 in 3 people are Jewish. Which is like… insane.

We are only 2% of Americans. And only .2% of the world.

1000 of us being murdered, thousands injured… that reverberates.
