Hayworth finally went in for a follow-up blood draw, and Meadow came along for a nail trim and moral support. In and out in half an hour, and both the ladies were brave.

Our Mystery Guest has had a quiet day, ending with introductory lap time followed by floor time. They hung outside The Lair to meet each of my hooligans through the bars. Back in the freshly-tidied guest house, they were taking a quiet moment in the pigloo.

Meadow celebrated Mischief Night in style last night. Taking advantage of my being occupied with Spike and Hayworth, she knocked over the grocery bag and ate the ends off all the lettuce leaves.

Work got a little weird, and I never got to post this. Five years ago this past weekend I adopted two traumatized little boys from rescues a couple hundred miles apart.
Loki and Valentino became best buddies, founded the Land of Rodentia, lived happy little lives, and made mine infinitely better. ❤️

Hayworth’s first vet visit! Everyone adored her. The vet said she looks great and has textbook perfect teeth. She’ll return for routine bloodwork later this fall.

Spike at the vet yesterday. While we were waiting I tucked him into his fleece blanket, and the vet let him has as many hay twists as he wanted. He snacked and napped his way through the wait.

Spike is taking seriously his need to bulk up before Halloween so he can fill out his Rodent of Unusual Size costume. He was up to 1245g this morning! 🎉❤️
