If the BBC had not been slimmed down and used a production company, perhaps more consistent editing would occur. And how does the BBC know it can trust outside companies’ staff.

It seems to add up to quite a lot though. Do some people not take unattractive jobs or jobs in inconvenient places?

Is this on top of people not working through bad mental/ physical health? and if so, what is the true per centage? Then, if you add people on in work benefits, what can be concluded? If people were to be paid more, would they be more inclined to work?

Finally, it's important to think about what this weakening pay growth means for workers.
Average weekly pay has increased by just £3 in real terms over the past year – not even enough to cover the cost of a Tesco meal deal.

We need to be closer to Europe to stop Farage et al from bullying us. Not content with getting us out of the EU he wants to harm our institutions. He never said that during the referendum did he? He’s turning out even worse than he seemed.

Much more effort is needed to avoid this eg more cameras on the roads, fines to pay for it.

Uninsured driving costs the government £1bn a year, including compensation for victims, emergency services, medical costs and loss of productivity.
An uninsured vehicle is seized every four minutes across the UK, with almost 120,000 seized so far this year, the MIB said.

agreed 100% and look at what is happening in the US - healthcare being reduced, people
being detained in camps. If the BBC was biassed there would be a lot more about this on the News as well there should be. The British public must not be taken in.

The attacks on the BBC replicates Trumpian attacks based on lies, false figures to control the pillars of establishment, the judiciary have been attacked too. These pillars serve our interests & justice. They know the attacks succeeded in the US so want to do it here. That is the warning to everyone.

Perhaps we all want to hear that and this illustrates that views have become disparate. When I have accidentally watched GB News I want to vomit. How can Nandy make them impartial?

Hear hear! Farage has been hoping for a crisis but this does not really seem bad enough as Trump did say those words. Trump may have deliberately separated the wording himself to avoid blame, hence this touched a raw nerve. Methinks he doth protest too much.

Nigel Farage was calling out BBC Bias today. I agree. He’s on our screens way too often.

They need to demonstrate something for ordinary folk. Perhaps put up the tax threshold and higher rates more?

This isn't a revolutionary government. But as a Labour government, it does need to be the people's representative to the system. So far it's acted as the system's representative to the people - "no, you can't have that, tough choices". And time is running out to deliver outcomes by the election

This situation has been inevitable for years I fear. Re-asserting control of the country via the BBC takes power away from the people, who they see as generally unproductive and a drain.
