I'm glad I showed up on Saturday to show were I stand. But 22 years ago, millions in 600 cities around the world protested the U.S. war against Iraq. The BBC estimated that between 6 and 10 million people demonstrated back then. Those massive protests didn't stop that war. So what's next?

Played with pressing flowers for the first time this summer. Learned a lot. Saved some to my art notebook. Garden blooms include nasturtium, pansies, roses, lavender penstemon, honeysuckle. and fuscia. #gardening #pressedflowers

Still blooming in my Oregon garden in November: Pineapple sage. (It smell like pineapple, but looks like red on steroids. It takes a long time to get going. Blooms show up in late August (for me anyway) but then they just rock the fall, when the dahlias begin to fade.

Hand embroidery requires patience. It took a few months to go from concept to completion, but I like this meadow lark. Made it as a gift for my mother. It's her favorite bird. #embrodery #crafts #threadpainting
