Right??

Tangentially, I just tossed a book for multiple reasons but a big one was that a character “grimaces” on practically every page. This was not a single character, it was all of them. A grimace is not a smile. Every person doesn’t grimace constantly. I was so baffled and annoyed by this.

I just want a job where it is acknowledged and even encouraged that I have a life outside of it 🫠

You tell your TV/film writer friends (who write in similar genres to you) that you’re looking for a rep, & ask them how they feel about theirs. Some only do genre, some only do TV, etc. If your friend offers to read a sample, cool! Or they might offer to pass it to their rep. That’s the main way.

I feel like at some point “most runners” morphed into “most people” and then, well. Anyway, I did a 5k and later I learned I have exercise induced asthma and I was apparently having an asthma attack the entire time. lol.

“Why are you eating that?”

Me: “oh are you asking everyone that? Are we going around the table?”
