Good morning! It is the second Sunday of Advent and in that spirit I would like to up this appeal for 20 children in Nuseirat camp in Gaza to have warm winter pajamas. Many of these children are orphaned and alone. No child should be cold in winter. Donation link in reply to this thread.

I got a T-shirt custom made saying “The Irish Times hates my book” years after some spiteful little parvenu trashed my debut novel in said organ. I think that’s my last chemo I wore it to 🙂

@breedingwaderseip.bsky.social it was great to meet you at Fota Wildlife Park last week! I mentioned that there were curlews about, this was at Little Island at 5pm this evening 1/8/25 apols for all the ambient noise but turn it up and you’ll definitely hear it at the start.
