I see the worst of human cruelty these days just in a regular scroll. Here is chance to do something kind and effective, to keep the little light in the darkness.
Good morning! It is the second Sunday of Advent and in that spirit I would like to up this appeal for 20 children in Nuseirat camp in Gaza to have warm winter pajamas. Many of these children are orphaned and alone. No child should be cold in winter. Donation link in reply to this thread.

Excellent article from @elainemcgoff.bsky.social on the many, many failures that have led us to where we are.

Nobody asked the people of this country if we were willing to sacrifice our waterways so the dairy industry could wallow in profits

Most Irish people want clean water, not a nitrates derogation
Has the Government ever asked the people of Ireland if they agree with pulling on the green jersey to convince Europe to give us another derogation?

At some point someone just needs to say “you are an indecent person, you are lying to cover the slaughter of defenseless men, you know you are lying, and even under the tenets of your own professed faith you will certainly burn in hell if you continue down this path”
WELKER: Isn't it possible that even the act of taking off a t shirt could've been part of an attempt to get attention for help?

TOM COTTON: Or it could've been an attempt to signal to another cartel boat to come pick them up and pick up the cargo
