There is a new substack circulating from This Will Hold alleging that an NSA whistleblower has claimed the NSA audited the 2024 election and found Trump did not win. I've received several inquiries on my thoughts on this (and I'm cited) so I wanted to offer this 🧵 for those that are interested. 1/

So many of these claims are wrong and evidence of the writer not understanding election systems. The de minimus change cited was only for EVS6.5.0.0, which was barely used in 2024, not "40%" of US counties. That's just one significant mistake. I did a thread on the errors.

Nah. When Cyber Ninjas petitioned for copies of Dominion software, Dominion said it would do "irreparable damage" to election security. Yet, it was revealed months later that the software was improperly obtained by Trump allies, Dominion didn't sue & was silent bcz it would reflect badly on Dominion

Or state election board sought to work with NSA. Any engagement or cooperation with NSA (or CISA) was entirely voluntary. The federal agencies also prioritized monitoring foreign influence operations activities through social media. They did not assess voting machines or have any access to them.
