I am exploring alternatives to Google Maps because I am disgusted that they changed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of American on their maps. I have found that Bing maps (Microsoft) has not done that so have replaced Google maps with Bing maps on my DuckDuckgo browser.

When we can't control the big picture (Jan 20 2025 is not a day to celebrate) it is good to focus on the positive. I love living in France..all week I will post random photos of our life here...I love the French long-lunch tradition, medieval buildings and gardens, beautiful cities/towns of France.

I am a Canadian, retired and living in southwest France. I have been here 11 years and love it...I am in a small village but 2 hours from Bordeaux, 30 minutes from Bergerac. This is the park and chateau in the village.

I am always grateful for the 'winter' weather here in southwest France. I grew up in Ottawa...so the fact that our winter extreme will be -5 celcius (at night next week) is a mild winter day in my experience. Here are a few photos of this beautiful part of the world.
