In our greenhouse gas measurements at the ENA station (Graciosa, Azores) over the last six months, we see frequent peaks in the concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄) and carbon monoxide (CO). For example, data from Oct 7-8: CO₂, CH₄ and CO peaks in one-minute average mixing ratios.

Radon (Rn) is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. It is created by the radioactive decay of radium (Ra) in rocks and soil which itself ultimately originates from uranium (U). Radon decays to polonium (Po) and, in the end, to lead (Pb).

Had fun setting up the Cluster Ion Counter on top of a shipping container at the ENA ARM site as part of the NuClim campaign. Proud to see it operational and measuring concentration + mobility of positive & negative cluster ions in real time! @inesctec.bsky.social @nuclim.bsky.social
