We must lobby for a vision of a public school system where every neighborhood public school is plentiful in resources. We must lobby to assure that all publicly funded schools are safe and welcoming to every student.
The wording is slightly altered from a quotation on this link:

National Education Association | NEA
The National Education Association (NEA) is more than 3 million people—educators, students, activists, workers, parents, neighbors, friends—who believe in opportunity for all students and in the power...

Is the accurate? I saw this in an article: The ADL lobbies for the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism.

Good question! Why didn’t SCOTUS just stay the injunction rather than the awful ruling that they issued?
I would normally ignore this, but the failure of reading comprehension is too egregious.

What I said, quite clearly, is that the Supreme Court “never halted the practice” of lower courts issuing universal injunctions under Biden. Yes, it stayed some. But it let plenty of others remain in effect.

By a 2–1 vote, the 11th Circuit holds that trans teachers in Florida have NO First Amendment right to use their preferred pronouns at school.

I’m starting to wonder if conservative judges are applying the First Amendment fairly to our public school system … media.ca11.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub...

What Trump is doing to the Education Department, USAID, and the CFPB today can be done to DHS, ICE, CBP, and any other agency tomorrow. This is the blueprint. Defund, RIF, or shutter every agency the president dislikes. Executive authority now means unilateral power to restructure the government.

How do you feel about religious prayers said out loud from the podium at school board meetings?

Charlotte Joyce invited a pastor to give the invocation at the school board meeting this evening which I’m fairly certain is unconstitutional. I put a clip of it on YouTube:

Forget all of the rhetoric about returning education to the states. The reason we need a federal voucher program is to get around Trump's own voters, especially the rurals with their *emotional* connections to local public schools

@jesseschecker.bsky.social wrote about HB 123. Committee chairs can let this bill die by not putting it on their agenda. School Boards today buy property based on community growth and future needs; HB 123 would limit their ability to do that. It’s a horrible bill.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out.

They gut the FAA.
Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted.
Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.
