I agree. I read that, like NPR and PBS, they receive a substantial amount of their operating funds from the federal government. I would like to see private donations supplant the need for federal funds for all of these institutions. I support PBS & am ready to do more. Who is with me? #USDemocracy

Neither requires "upgrading." There is also something going on with the U.S. Holocaust Museum. The Doctors Rybacki made a substantial donation to the latter. Trump and the government don't own the Smithsonian. James Smithson set up the Public Trust. The Smithsonian belongs to the People. Hands Off.

They also are “upgrading” the African American museum and the museum of the American Indian—both of which are stunning, educational and culturally significant as they are. I’m white. They are giving new meaning to “whitewashing” history. I’m so angry about this. #USDemocracy #DemValues #BlueCrew

Absolutly Disgusting. First that it happened, 2nd that now trump will lie about it. It was a shameful part of history and the fact that the US delayed coming to the rescue of Europe against Nazi Germany.
