We offered a virtual #HandsOff protest, which was organized by #ChronicPain patients in the #Diasability community & will keep it up for these reasons. More info from @10minutesaday.bsky.social & @diyabled.bsky.social ! 💜 www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
For some disabled protestors, “Hands Off” went virtual

Do smaller protests, be a speaker, lobby, phone calls, community service, advocate for accessibility at local events, know ur representatives, donate water, set up/clean up, print materials. There is so much work that needs to be done. U dont have to put urself in harms way to make a difference.

Literally. Do NOT show up to a massive turnout if u don't have a safety plan to get urself out of a stampede or kettling situation. Do NOT stay past ur comfort level to be able to evacuate. It is the job of privileged people to turn out on ur behalf. Don't be a martyr. Sincerely, ur fellow cripple.

I cannot, during these horrific times, recommend enough the importance of making pockets of time to just do things that are not related to anything but the joy of being alive and playing. You need it. You do. It will keep you whole. Which we need. We need you whole.
