I also use this method sometimes 😹
I use the 5 and 1 star reviews as my guide. I look at the spread. Read a few. If the one star reviews are mostly from idiots, I buy the product
I’m not greatly persuaded by positive reviews, more by searching for some truth amongst the criticism
