Here is my main bag, it is a true messenger bag. It’s almost as big as my microwave ( obviously not as deep).

I’m at work right now, but when I get home I’ll take a snap of it for you. I brought my small one to work this evening, it is only 9” by 7” but big enough for all of my immediate needs. It is a crossbody bag from Coach, so it’s a little pricey.
