Thank you @drjameschums.bsky.social! Turns out it's this option. I had seen that but assumed it was about standard valence as default, so thought I wanted it on. I did not!

As I suspected! While putting in yet another Delay Repay claim, I have learned that Macclesfield is in the bottom 3% of railway station performance in the UK. :(
That's over the past 12 weeks – at least at the times I've travelled, performance was very noticeably worse in the past!
