Police Story III: Supercop (1992): Chan is sent undercover along with a Chinese Interpol agent to take down a drug smuggling operation. Less martial arts than the first two but still loads of action, with an absolutely insane finale on a helicopter and a moving train.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025): The team try to shut down the AI villain whilst fighting Russians, a sceptical government and a mercenary. Not as good as the last few but has one of the greatest action sequences of all time at the end. Decent end to the series.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning (2023): The team have to deal with a mysterious AI that has a bloke doing its bidding. Some outstanding set pieces and a great new addition in Hayley Atwell. The villain is a little vague but this is a top tier blockbuster.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018): Ethan and co try and stop some nuclear material from getting into the wrong hands. Excellent film with a twisty plot and as always, amazing set pieces. Has a toe curlingly tense finale involving a helicopter chase and a bomb defusal.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015): IMF hunt a shadowy terrorist organisation called The Syndicate. A string of incredible set pieces, a great villain and an excellent Rebecca Ferguson make for a great film. Not groundbreaking but spectacular in what it does.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011): Ethan and his pals have to stop someone who wants to start a nuclear war. Plot-wise not that interesting but the stunts and the cast make it worthwhile. The Burj Khalifa scene alone is reason enough to watch. More comedy than usual too.

Mission: Impossible III (2006): A semi-retired Ethan Hunt is tasked with taking down an arms dealer. Excellent sequel that feels more like the first one. Philip Seymour Hoffman is an excellent bad guy and as always the set pieces are excellent. Also has added drama of marriage.

Mission: Impossible II (2000): Ethan Hunt has to enlist the help of a thief to stop a rogue agent unleashing a virus on the world. Probably the weakest of the franchise but still decent. The final action sequence is pretty incredible. Very much a John Woo film. But no Hard Target.

Undisputed: Fight for Freedom (2016): After killing a fighter in the ring, Boyle tracks down the man’s widow only to find she’s owned by a gangster. He agrees to a series of fights in exchange for her freedom. A little predictable but the fights are still exceptional. A fitting finale for the series

Police Story 2 (1988): Chan quits the force to spend more time with his girlfriend it is dragged back to combat a group of mad bombers. Less action than the first one, although still exceptional when it occurs, and more serious. A pretty good sequel overall.
