This week I decided to redo how runes work since the original plan wasn't so fun.

Now they collect charges based on defeating specific enemies, and then you can invoke a bonus which you can recharge and boost by continuing to defeat even more...

I was finally convinced that terrain was the way to go instead of trying to make the square tiles look good. Looking much better now I think - still a work in progress though - need to add some proper patchy grass and some other things.

For this week's #screenshotSaturday, Alone's next milestone is called "Rune", so I'm working on well, Runes.

Runes can be embedded in weapons and can give a whole range of bonuses depending on the rune.

Embedding them involves a ritual in the shrine...

Including one with a suspiciously large barrel of explosives. Probably shouldn't let them get too close to the walls...

The goblin leader has been tracked to this ancient tower. It is up to our hero to fight their way across the three levels, and free the lands from her terror.

This is Alone. It's meant to be a relaxing take on the survival RPG genre.
