Awesome 👇🏻
Unrelated to UCI but involving bikes in a different way:

My job is INFINITELY sillier than yours!

(Also, get yourself a workplace that builds a cargo bike DJ deck setup for you!! And has a unicorn 🦄)

Love a Danish red jersey wearer but also content to see a Norwegian red jersey wearer. Basically a Scandi show does me fine. #vuelta

How great to see Shirin Van Anrooij riding so well.

Best Stage 21 I’ve seen. #tourdefrance

Quite moved by the article in Rouleur by Katie Archibald. Cycling is an amazing but tough sport. Being in a supportive and amazing team makes it a 10/10 job.

Yesterday’s stage was an absolute belter. Fireworks everywhere. Cant mention all the superb performances but Ben Healy in yellow suits me fine! #tourdefrance

A Ben Healy win. How wonderful. #tourdefrance

💬 Jonas Vingegaard on ⛰️ Rampe Saint Hilaire:

"I think it was probably my best ever one-minute performance."

I can’t decide if I’m more impressed by Pogi’s win, MVDP being back in it on the line or Jonas coming back on that “rampe”. Whichever way, I’m impressed. #tdf

Yates. He cried. I did too. Incredible right?

Aranburu giving a textbook example of how to nail the finish after a descent ends 3kms from home. Awesome job! #itzulia

Many thanks to Stockton Wheelers Cycling Club great coach Steve Newton for putting Roobs through his paces this morning. Checking out good distances for him to take part in some Special Olympics GB local & regional TT events (Roobs in his Smurfit Westrock Cycling Team jersey obvs).

They’re coming thick & fast now! Paris Nice and Tirreno Adriatico coming up!!!!

This - totally 👇🏻
Still rate this as the most unpredictable one day race & that’s because of the “tenderising” that happens before the cooking. Perfect!
...and the first 4:30ish minutes of the 1812 overture are also kinda boring, but if you skip them, you skip a crucial part of the dramatic build-up towards the bits that everyone knows and love which in return flattens the crescendo and makes the finale feel less exciting...

🤷‍♀️😅
the first 150k of men's MSR are the most boring in world cycling anyway

When I wake up tomorrow and Eurosport has gone, a little bit of me will never be the same again. I go right back to the days of David Duffield. I have TNT, but I doubt it will ever have the charm and the “niche” feel of Eurosport.

There is historical precedent for two countries having peace talks without the subject of their talks being present. Chamberlain (UK) & Hitler (Germany) did that over the Sudetenland (Czechoslovakia). Chamberlain returned home triumphant & it all turned out really well I think.

If cycling has to go behind a paywall; how about the UCI get talking to Warner about the sport (or teams) getting a healthy cut (as happens with many other sports).

The women’s CX season is building to a fantastic climax. All the top 4 racers have won in the last couple of weeks. All showing their different strengths. Who do you think will take the 🌈
Van Empel? Brand? Alvarado? Pieterse? 🤔

Great ride by Iserbyt too. Those bursts of power gradually carried him away once at the front.
