📍Canada, eh?
Sometimes I forget but I always have bad experiences w/ L’Oréal products. Recently had a contact dermatitis reaction & couldn’t figure out why. Well, bought their purple conditioner for grey hair & I’m positive it has lavender (which I’m allergic to) but it’s not listed (I always check). Not cool.

Two stay with me: my Dad said he never had to worry about me because I did what I had to & got stuff done & early on my BF said I am the most honest person he has ever met.
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

Didn’t quite get to do the birthday celebration I had planned for Roman but we still made it to Occhiolino for a great Dinner & I made a deconstructed Black Forest Birthday Cake (ie. I didn’t have to ice the whole cake or pipe rosettes! 😂) with a yummy whipped cream/mascarpone frosting.

Watching S4 THE CROWN with my Mom and CHALLENGERS (not with my Mom) & both star Josh O’Connor, who I have just discovered. BTW: I am Team Art in CHALLENGERS. Yeah, lust is nice but what about lust *and* maturity/dependabilty/having your back? Now that is 🔥!

Had a really good beef Brisket Salad in the boonies last night. The beef brisket was not as soft as my fave Cherry Street’s but it was still delicious with the huge fresh salad & secret yummy dressing it was served alongside. Added sweet potato fries too (they don’t spike me but parsnips are a no).

Have you seen Al Pacino play an ageing Grandpa? No? Then you need to watch TWO BITS. It's a family drama from 1995 about one summer in Philadelphia in the 1930s.

I am bummed that the location I frequented of my favourite supermarket has closed. Began shopping there regularly at the start of the pandemic because it was spacious, privately owned & had lots of selection. I really hate supporting the major corporations who own every grocery store now, it seems.

Some people stay with you even when they're no longer visible. They've left behind something that never fades: light, love, traces in the heart. And that's exactly where their place remains. Forever.

Today (yes, November 19th) I heard a cover of Wham’s Last Christmas & wondered if it was December, would I lose Whamageddon? I found my answer! (No, covers don’t count.)

Y-san texted me Tatsuya Nakadai has died. This makes me sad. One Summer all I watched were his movies - I was obsessed! What a filmography! My faves include: HIGH AND LOW, HARAKIRI, THE FACE OF ANOTHER, YOJIMBO, WHEN A WOMAN ASCENDS THE STAIRS, THE HUMAN CONDITION TRILOGY & RAN. One of the greatest.

I’ve done *a lot* of weeding in my lifetime so I guess I’m lucky it never went like it did in THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN! Had one ex-friend tell people there was something psychologically wrong with me for weeding her. I’m a believer in appreciating relationships but also moving on with no regrets.

Good thing I got my snow tires on Monday night! (2-10cm of snow tonight - I’M NOT READY!) But I need a new battery. Mine lasted 8 years (unbelievable!). That time, Dad was alive & I’d taken him to the Ophthalmologist & back home. While I was mailing a letter, my car died in front of the mailbox.

This post of Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World by @weinberg.social reminded me that I saw Gordon Wesley Rayner, Sr.’s Tally-Ho & its description said it seems to be similar in composition, which was cool to me! Wyeth was one of my late Dad’s fave artists & he loved Christina’s World especially.

@weinberg.social Holy cow, right??! Iko Uwais, Liam O’Donnell & HOT FROSTY’s Russell Hainline!! 😉
I wrote a movie. a movie that isn’t a Christmas romance. a bonkers martial arts action movie.

beyond grateful that this passion project is getting made by an absolute dream team. I get to watch *Iko Uwais* do fights I wrote. I’m a very lucky guy. variety.com/2025/film/ne...

My Mom heard about a free pumpkin giveaway two Saturdays ago and when we were at the end-of-Season Farmers Market, she walked to the park TWICE to get TWO free pumpkins! I was shocked when I got home! 😂 She carried them by herself. Can you believe it!? So here they are carved from last night!

@weinberg.social How cool is this? (I know you love this film noir AND Gene Tierney!)
"I shall never forget the weekend Laura died."

This year's classic film-themed Halloween costume is the painting of Gene Tierney as Laura Hunt in the film noir LAURA (1944), directed by Otto Preminger.
