NIH staff both do important research and also help facilitate grant distribution across this country.

I am sure democrats have a well thought out and detail plan. I don’t remember hearing about it during the campaign, but maybe that is a me problem.

My take is.

-Federally democrats need to be an opposition party. Throw sand in the gears

-For progressive activism focus on state & local. Progressive wing needs deeper bench. Showing progressive ideas can create a functioning society not endless in fighting is important.

The problem I have is I disagree with your analysis on why Kamala Harris lost. She ran hard to the center.

I think she lost because (1) no critique of Biden administration (2) themes too general (“democracy”). A specific keystone economic policy like Healthcare or Housing would have helped.

Somehow that does not surprise me. It’s definitely a different format that I am really comfortable with, but hopefully that will change!
