Tomorrow is my dog's 6th birthday. I've had him four of those six years, and every day Max is still the cutest dog I've ever seen. I am also getting his teeth cleaned, which will cost me a lot of money, but he's worth it. And he loves you too.

Although I'm moving to GMU at end of July, I'm still so excited to be leading a 6-week summer REU at UofSC starting this Monday! I'll be working on spatial causal inference models for disease mapping with a small team of undergrad researchers. Excited to see what we can accomplish. :)

This is a really great grasshopper I found in Amazonas in Brazil. iNat experts are suggesting something in the genus Eurostacris, but I'm clueless and that doesn't seem to be a common genus of insect.
