Political parties must shift immediately and dramatically to the left to avoid alienating these frustrated and abandoned young women. Am I doing this right?
Our recent poll found that women 28 and younger skew substantially more left than the national average. Nearly 80 percent of Gen Z women want abortion to be legal and seven in 10 want gender-affirming care to be accessible for trans adults.

Thinking more about this, the relationship of gender clinics to trans people has always been extractive. They make money and careers off the suffering they inflict on us.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

hello cis friends
this is what people mean by trans genocide

if a type of person does not officially exist, then any harm against them cannot be measured or reported

this headline change isn't even being caused by an executive order

it's simply the NYT editors deciding we don't deserve to exist

As governor of Illinois, I’ve made it my mission to make our state the best to call home including for our LGBTQ+ community.

No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves dignity and equality.

Hate has no home here.

Our trans neighbors will continue to be safe, protected, and welcome in Minnesota.

Science takes time - a lot of time. Time that is more and more difficult to make available because of increased workloads. Time that exceeds the temporary contracts of postdocs and PhDs.

I'll illustrate this using our paper published in Nature yesterday. 🧵 (1/x)

When I was 5, I loved science, which I took to be planets and magnets and chemicals and shit.

Soon I realized science was a collective human activity, and these were just the objects of its attention.

Anyway, whenever I read an OpEd on how science isn't political, I think "Are you 5 years old?"

Last month, the so-called American Academy of Sciences and Letters gave a medal to Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who advocated for mass COVID infection. NY Post framed it as a “top award.”

We looked into it. AASL is 2 years old—part of a right-wing dark money network trying to transform elite universities.

The most potent answer to reducing right wing radicalization online is abolishing the attention economy.
Ad driven profits = incentive to get the user's attention using any means necessary.
The mind pays attention to things that lead to anger and/or fear.

the wildest thing about this election are all the liberals who saw Hitler 2 beat Girlboss Hitler with a third of the ad budget targeted towards killing trannies, and they thought to themselves "maybe WE should advocate for killing trannies too" instead of "maybe we should Not Run Any Hitler At All".

I've just read @rebeccasear.bsky.social 's critique of the "national IQ" datasets in full and please go and read it. It's such an important paper. I knew all this stuff was bad science but I hadn't quite appreciated the full horrendous scale of it.

Scientists have always made typos.

Surely the increase in spelling errors is caused by the fact that many journals no longer employ good copyeditors, or even any copyeditors at all.

This is the result of the corporatization of scientific publishing, not"sloppy" scientists.
